How to Stop Frontgate Catalogs: Phone, Mail and Registries
Why Frontgate Catalogs Keep Arriving
Frontgate runs its own catalog removal desk, and it names two ways in: a phone line and a postal address. Its Catalog Mailing Preference page says that to receive only Frontgate catalogs, or to remove your name from its mailing list entirely, you can call 1-888-263-9850 or send your name and address to the Frontgate Mail Preference Service at 5566 West Chester Road, West Chester, Ohio 45069. That is the most direct route there is, because the request goes to the company that owns the list.
The same page explains why the catalogs that arrive may not all say Frontgate on the cover. Frontgate states that "from time to time" it shares its catalog mailing list with selected providers of goods and services, and its full privacy policy spells out the scope: it may share your name and mailing address with selected businesses for catalog, magazine or fundraising offers sent by mail. If you do not want those mailings, or do not want your details shared for other companies' direct marketing, the policy asks you to contact Frontgate by phone, e-mail or mail. In practice that means one request can cover two things — Frontgate's own catalogs and the outside mailers who rented your address from it — but only if you ask for both.
Frontgate is not a stand-alone company, which matters when a removal seems not to stick. A 2026 investor presentation filed with the SEC by its parent group describes Cornerstone Brands as a portfolio of four direct-to-consumer brands: Ballard Designs, Frontgate and Grandin Road on the home side, and Garnet Hill in apparel. A request to Frontgate covers Frontgate's list. If Ballard Designs or Grandin Road catalogs also land in your mailbox, treat each as a separate sender and name it in your request or contact it the same way.
How to stop Frontgate catalogs: step by step
Call Frontgate's catalog line. Phone 1-888-263-9850, the number on Frontgate's Catalog Mailing Preference page . Have a recent catalog in front of you and read the name and address exactly as printed on the mailing label, including any customer or source code. Ask for two things in plain words: remove this name and address from the Frontgate catalog list, and do not share it with other companies.
Or write to the Frontgate Mail Preference Service. If you would rather have a paper trail, mail your request to Frontgate Mail Preference Service, 5566 West Chester Road, West Chester, Ohio 45069, the address on the same page. Include the name and address as printed on the label, plus any variant spellings the catalogs arrive under, and the same two requests: off the catalog list, and no sharing. A copy of the label in the envelope removes guesswork. Keep a note of the date you sent it.
Register with DMAchoice for the mailers who rented your address. DMAchoice is the mail preference service run by the Association of National Advertisers. Its registration page lists an $8 administrative fee for a 10-year registration online, with a mail-in option as well. The FTC's guide to stopping junk mail describes DMAchoice as the way to choose which catalogs, magazine offers and other mail you want from marketers, and is clear about the limit: it stops most, but not all, promotional mail. That makes it a second layer behind the request to Frontgate, not a replacement for it.
File the catalog at Catalog Choice. Catalog Choice is a nonprofit opt-out service where you search for a catalog by name and submit a cancellation using the details on your mailing label. It is useful for the sibling brands and the outside mailers in step 1, because each one is a separate entry you can cancel in the same sitting.
Add a mail app if you want one place to do the rest. PaperKarma files opt-out requests from a photo of the mailer, which helps when the catalogs that follow a Frontgate order come from companies you have never dealt with. Check that the sender you photograph is listed before relying on it.
What to expect
Frontgate's preference page does not give a timeline for how long a removal takes, and no other source used here states one for Frontgate. Catalogs are printed and addressed weeks ahead of the date they land, so one or two already in the pipeline can still arrive after a correct request. That is lag, not a failed request. If Frontgate catalogs keep coming well after that — two or three mailing cycles — call the 1-888-263-9850 line again with the label in hand and ask whether the name on file matches the one you removed. A different spelling, an old apartment number or a previous occupant's name creates a second record that the first request never touched.
Mail from other companies follows its own clock. The FTC notes that DMAchoice will not stop every promotional mailer, and the sharing request in step 1 only stops future rentals of your address — a list that was rented before your request may still be used. Those stragglers are what steps 3 to 5 are for.
Credit card and insurance offers are a separate list
Some of the mail that follows a catalog order is not a catalog at all but a pre-approved credit or insurance offer. Neither Frontgate nor DMAchoice controls those. The FTC's junk-mail guide explains that you can opt out of prescreened credit and insurance offers for five years, or permanently, through optoutprescreen.com or by calling 1-888-567-8688. If the envelopes in your mailbox say "pre-approved" rather than showing furniture and patio sets, that is the list to work on.
Previous resident, or recently moved?
If the Frontgate catalog is addressed to someone who no longer lives with you, give Frontgate the name exactly as printed on the label when you call or write — the removal is matched to the record, not to whoever reads the mail. The guide to stopping catalogs addressed to a previous resident covers the wider problem, and the home goods catalog guide walks through the other furniture and decor mailers that tend to arrive alongside Frontgate.
If you are the one who moved, none of the requests above follow you. Catalog lists are tied to a name and an address, so repeat the Frontgate call or letter for the new address once you are settled, and update your DMAchoice registration there too.
Frequently asked questions
Does Frontgate have a catalog opt-out page? Yes. Its Catalog Mailing Preference page gives the phone number 1-888-263-9850 and the postal address of the Frontgate Mail Preference Service in West Chester, Ohio.
Can I keep Frontgate catalogs but stop the other mail? Yes. Frontgate's page offers exactly that choice — receiving only Frontgate catalogs — and its privacy policy says you can ask it not to share your name and address with other companies for their direct marketing.
Does one request cover Ballard Designs and Grandin Road? Do not assume so. They are separate brands in the same group, according to the SEC filing above. Name each one in your request, or cancel each at Catalog Choice.
What does DMAchoice cost? Its registration page lists $8 for a 10-year online registration.
